Performance of MF-MSK Systems with Pre-distortion Schemes

چکیده
Efficient RF power amplifiers used in third generation systems require linearization in order to reduce adjacent channel inter-modulation distortion, without sacrificing efficiency. Digital baseband predistortion is a highly cost-effective way to linearize power amplifiers (PAs). New communications services have created a demand for highly linear high power amplifiers (HPA's). Traveling Wave Tubes Amplifiers ( TWTA ) continue to offer the best microwave HPA performance in terms of power efficiency, size and cost, but lag behind Solid State Power Amplifiers ( SSAP's ) in linearity. This paper presents a technique for improving TWTA linearity. The use of predistorter (PD) linearization technique is described to provide TWTA performance comparable or superior to conventional SSPA's. The characteristics of the PD scheme is derived based on the extension of Saleh's model for HPA. The analysis results of Multi-frequency Minimum Shift Keying (MF-MSK) in non-linear channels are presented in this paper. key words : HPA, Nonlinear distortions, Saleh model, AM/AM and AM/PM, Pre-distortion, MF-MSK.

Robust Distributed Source Coding with Arbitrary Number of Encoders and Practical Code Design Technique
The robustness property can be added to DSC system at the expense of reducing performance, i.e., increasing the sum-rate. The aim of designing robust DSC schemes is to trade off between system robustness and compression efficiency. In this paper, after deriving an inner bound on the rate–distortion region for the quadratic Gaussian MDC based RDSC system with two encoders, the structure of...
متن کاملDesign of serial concatenated MSK schemes based on density evolution
We consider the design of convolutional codes and low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes with minimum-shift keying (MSK) when the receiver employs iterative decoding and demodulation. The main idea proposed is the design of coded schemes that are well matched to the iterative decoding algorithm being used rather than to hypothetical maximum-likelihood decoding. We first show that the design is c...
متن کاملPerformance Trade off with Modulation in 802.15.4 Wpan for Wireless Sensor Networks
The main objective of this paper is to investigate the performance trade off with MSK, BPSK and QAM_64 modulation techniques. Investigations have been reported to compare the performance and tradeoffs of MSK, BPSK and QAM_64 modulation schemes. Here modulation schemes have been identified which gives significant performance improvement over the other based on energy consumption and power recept...
متن کاملNew adaptive interpolation schemes for efficient meshbased motion estimation
Motion estimation and compensation is an essential part of existing video coding systems. The mesh-based motion estimation (MME) produces smoother motion field, better subjective quality (free from blocking artifacts), and higher peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) in many cases, especially at low bitrate video communications, compared to the conventional block matching algorithm (BMA). Howev...
متن کاملSimulation Study on Performance Evaluation of MF-TDMA-based Military Satellite Communication Systems
The multi-frequency time-division multiple access (MF-TDMA) has become general in satellite communications. In this paper, we developed a simulation model for MF-TDMA-based satellite networks using OPNET simulator. With the simulator, we evaluated the efficient use of DAMA schemes using MF-TDMA compared to PAMA based on FDMA.
